Evaluation & Treatment Process

The Speech & Language Evaluation
Depending on the concerns, either a speech/articulation assessment, language assessment, and/or a stuttering assessment will be completed. We offer evaluation services at our clinic, in your home environment, or your child's school. The evaluation is comprised of formal assessments, informal testing measures, observations, and family reporting/history gathered from a parent interview. An Evaluation Report is then written up with the findings and speech therapy recommendations. Short term and long term goals are reviewed with the parents as well.
The Speech & Language Therapy
Recommendations will be made on the frequency and duration of speech therapy. The intervention is offered in our clinic, your home environment or at your child's school. We provide all of the therapy tools to execute the therapy. Optional homework items to work on in-between sessions are provided and help to facilitate carryover of the newly acquired speech and language skills with family. Family and child education is incorporated into the therapy sessions as we love to provide as much information as possible!
